cold are the people

winter of life
we tremble in shadows
this cold endless night
frozen in the snow
lie roses, sleeping
flowers that will echo
the sunrise
fire of hope is our only warmth
weary it's flame will be dying soon

(silent night
holy night
all is calm
all is bright
round yon virgin
mother and child
holy infant
so tender and mild
sleep in heavenly peace
sleep in heavenly peace)

Pinto finally succumbed to the lyricizing trend. I'm so unoriginal.

give in to the sonnet trend! sonnets are where it's at. :p But hooray for verse. The less free-verse-like it is, the better.

nyerp, Kevin! Free verse is my god! And, yay, Amy!!! Thankee, I didn't think I was that cute! But I suppose having done my make up for Bye Bye birdie, you would know! So who am I to argue??? ;D

So, you like free verse? In that case, I must challenge you to a 'poetry duel' or 'poetry battle' of sorts. To the death. Or at least until we both write some poems. *throws down glove*
